Eastview Elementary is a K–5 school serving 543 students in Lakeville Area Schools, located at 18060 Ipava Ave in Lakeville, Minnesota, where it sits within about a mile of several other district elementaries and roughly three miles from schools in Rosemount-Apple Valley-Eagan.

By the numbers, Eastview is a solidly above-average school: a statewide rank of 191 of 869 (78th percentile, 4 stars) in 2025–26, with proficiency of 61.9% in math, 61.2% in reading and 32.3% in science — all above the district and comfortably above the state. The story is trajectory. Eastview was once elite, ranking 12th of 853 (99th percentile) in 2016–17; it has since settled in the 70th–87th percentile band and now places sixth of eight Lakeville elementaries in all three subjects. Lakeview, Cherry View, Highview, Lake Marion and Oak Hills all outscore it. Its margin over the district has narrowed sharply — math from +11.3 points in 2022–23 to +3.2 in 2025–26.

Two things changed alongside the slide. Free/reduced lunch rose from 16.0% in 2022–23 to 23.9% in 2024–25, the highest among Lakeville's top-performing group, and the low-income subgroup rank fell from 82nd to 55th percentile. Meanwhile staffing improved: the student–teacher ratio went from 16.6 to 15.1 in 2024–25. Fifth grade is the pressure point, with math at 53.7%, below both district and state. Strengths remain: special education students rank 71st percentile and English language learners 80th. Compared with schools in Rosemount-Apple Valley-Eagan, such as Southview, Cedar Park and Parkview — each with far higher poverty — Eastview runs 9 to 16 points higher in science. Orchard Lake and Huddleston are the only in-district peers it still leads.
