Linden is a K–8 elementary school at 29 Wescott Street in Malden, MA, serving 813 students in one of the larger K–8 buildings in the immediate area, and it operates within the Malden district, which ranks 225th of 351 districts statewide. In 2025–2026, Linden ranked 545th of 899 schools (39th percentile, 2 stars), slightly above the district's 36th percentile but below the state average. All-grades proficiency was 38.83% in ELA, 37.47% in math, and 33.97% in science — above Malden in ELA and math, slightly below the district in science, and below the state in all three subjects.

Within Malden, Linden sits in the middle of the pack: it trails Forestdale, ranks slightly ahead of Ferryway, and is clearly ahead of Salemwood. Its ELA and math results are higher than several nearby Everett and Revere schools, including Parlin School, George Keverian School, Lafayette School, and Abraham Lincoln, though Herbert Clark Hoover in Melrose is far ahead at 58.78% ELA, 64.62% math, and 73.33% science.
