In 2025–2026, all-grade MCAS Next Generation proficiency was 13.79% in English Language Arts, 6.9% in math, and 16.09% in science, compared with about 40% statewide in each subject. Tenth-grade science is a critical weakness at 2.04%, far below nearby schools: Turners Fall High (24.39%), Franklin County Technical (27.44%), Pioneer Valley Regional (36.36%), Mohawk Trail Regional School (50%), Frontier Regional (48.05%), and Amherst Regional High (65.12%). Physics proficiency is 12.73% versus the state’s 46.58%. Math has stayed in the 3–7% range for years.

There is one positive trend: graduation and dropout improved sharply in 2024–2025. The graduation rate rose to 87.6% after 75.6% and 75.0% in the prior two years, and dropout fell to 6.7% from 15.1% and 14.8%. That is better than Turners Fall High (81.6% graduation, 14.3% dropout) and Ralph C Mahar Regional (83.3% graduation, 12.8% dropout), but lower than Four Rivers Charter Public School, which is 1.51 miles away and has 100% graduation, 0% dropout, and much higher proficiency.
