Garth Elementary School serves 381 students in kindergarten through fifth grade in Georgetown, within Scott County. Its clearest concern is low performance in fourth-grade science and fifth-grade writing: science proficiency was 26%, compared with 40% statewide, 39% in the district and 37% at nearby schools; writing was 25%, versus 35%, 38% and 33%, respectively.
