Boone County High School is a public school in Florence, Kentucky, serving grades 9–12 with 1,252 students in the Boone County district. Its 2025–2026 graduation rate was 97.6%, close to the district’s 97.5% and above the state’s 94.1%, but chronic absenteeism was 24.7%, compared with 14.0% in the district. The key finding for families is that strong graduation does not offset the school’s lower test results compared with nearby traditional high schools.

Compared with the state, the school was slightly ahead in mathematics (41% versus 40%) and social studies (38% versus 37%), but behind in reading, science, writing, and editing and mechanics.
