Moscow Public Schools

Moscow Public Schools has two small campuses serving grades PK–12: Moscow Elementary (PK–5, enrollment 74) and Moscow High (grades 6–12, enrollment 66). The most important shared pattern is that math is the clearest area of concern: both schools were below the state result, while science was a relative strength.

Moscow Elementary had the stronger 2025–26 all-grades results, leading Moscow High by 25 percentage points in ELA, 7 in math and 17 in science. Elementary was above the state in ELA (56% versus 46%) and science (57% versus 38%), but below it in math (31% versus 41%). High was below the state in ELA (31% versus 46%) and math (24% versus 41%), though its science result of 40% was slightly above the state’s 38%. High also had a notable bright spot: its 2023–24 graduation rate was 100%, compared with 90% statewide. At the grade level, High’s 11th-grade science result was 45%, versus 30% statewide.

Recent results moved in different directions at the two schools. From 2024–25 to 2025–26, Elementary’s ELA rose 3 points and science rose 27, while math fell 2; High’s ELA fell 10 points and math fell 14. SchoolDigger rankings also shifted: Elementary was at the 42nd percentile in 2025–26, near 41st the prior year but below 83rd in 2021–22; High moved from the 17th percentile to 64th, then 34th. Elementary’s student–teacher ratio was 9.1, compared with 6.2 at High; reported free/reduced-lunch rates were 69% and 55%, respectively—context, not an explanation for results. Because the campuses serve different grade spans and the schools are small, these figures do not capture every student’s experience.
