Open Quote it truly does suck, and i’m not saying that because i’m “at that point in life”. i went to the school a couple of years ago and honestly i hated it. you can ask anyone who went there or currently goes there, it sucks (my sibling is also at hadley as of right now so). all three years there were basically terrible. most of the teachers were super strict with us or played absolute favorites. (this doesn’t apply to all teachers because there are some actual decent teachers there that deserve a raise). they gave us 3 minutes to get to our classes and gods forbid you’re late by a fraction of a second. honestly did they really expect for us to make it to class on time AND to grab stuff from our locker? and don’t even get me started on lunch. in 8th grade they implemented the use of bathroom passes which were these wooden planks with our zone numbers and there where only 2 per zone. the amount of problems this caused because of you’re on your period, or have to go to the bathroom badly, they wouldn’t let you go unless they had the pads available. this also caused problems with our teacher for the next class if we had to go to the bathroom during class because they would tell us “why didn’t you go during lunch?!” because we couldn’t!! and the lunch food was so gross, i’m surprise i was able to actually eat it while the teachers got to have whole ass breakfast things or whatever the hell they were with actually food and they would only eat a fraction of it and throw the rest away. we also had theses things called wildcat passes or something (i don’t remember the name) it was basically a sheet of 13 times where u could go to the bathroom, library, nurse, office, whatever, and every time you needed to use one you were required to get your teacher’s permission to sign it and you had to take it with you. and if you didn’t have it or ran out of passes then you’d either get in trouble or weren’t allowed to go. they would also restrict literally everything on the chrome books i’m surprised they didn’t just give us feathers and ink to write on parchment. and don’t get me started on the buses. they would always come 10 minutes earlier than they’re supposed to or 20 minutes late. never on time. once my old bus driver had gotten fired and we didn’t know and we where waiting at our bus stop until 9:30 because the majority of the kids can only take the bus. by the time we had gotten to school it was around 10 ish and the school starts at 8:30. no one ever got an email from the school telling us why we didn’t have a bus come until 9:30. you can only imagine the chaos with our teachers when a bunch of students walk in 2 hours late to class and have to explain the whole situation because they as well didn’t get and email. needless to say it sucked.
