This represents a strong rebound from a dip in 2023–2024 and continues a longer history of high performance, including 5-star ratings in 2021–2022 and 2022–2023.

Academically, North tops most nearby schools in math and English language arts. In 2025–2026, 65.3% of North students were proficient in math and 67.8% in ELA, far exceeding district and state averages. Among comparable schools, only East Junior High School and Lowell Scott Middle School consistently match or exceed North — East had slightly higher math (70.4%) and ELA (69.1%), while Lowell Scott led in ELA (74.9%) but trailed North in math (61.4%).
