The district overall trails the state in math (37.4% vs. 43.1%) and English language arts (47.6% vs. 54.0%), but several individual schools post results well above state averages.

Twin Falls High School is the district's standout, earning 4 stars and ranking in the 87th percentile among Idaho high schools, with exceptional end-of-course scores: 84.1% ELA proficiency vs. 61.3% statewide, and 54.1% math vs. 33.1% statewide. At the elementary level, Pillar Falls Elementary leads with 58.7% math proficiency, while Rock Creek Elementary posts the district's lowest chronic absenteeism at 9.1%. Sawtooth Elementary School shines in science at 63.2% proficiency vs. 44.0% statewide. Vera C O'Leary Middle School is the strongest middle school, ranking at the 66th percentile and exceeding state averages in math, ELA, and science.

The district's lowest-performing schools also have the highest poverty and absenteeism rates. I B Perrine Elementary School (16.5% math), Harrison Elementary School (22.9%), Lincoln Elementary School (25.4%), and Oregon Trail Elementary School (21.2%) all struggle, and South Hills Middle School ranks in the 1st percentile with just 17.6% math proficiency.
