Open Quote ROE has been terrible for my child and I. The principle let's the teachers walk all over him and the children. Granted there are a few good teachers, but the vast number of unprofessional, uncaring and unmotivated teachers makes it a bad experience for everyone at some point in time. In kindergarten my child had a teacher that screamed at the little kids all day long and would never take them out for recess because she was on a breathing machine. She literally referred to the kindergartener as a "dangerous situation" when i showed up to the class to volunteer. She had blocked the door, sent all the other children out the room, and was having a screaming match with this little boy. I immediately entered the room and placed the frightened child on my lap and calmed him down. As my child advanced in grade level, he/ she was bullied by both children and teachers with no resolve. Yet, was disciplined for sharing Halloween candy at lunch? Teachers do not care about the success of your child at this school. If your child is having problems learning, if you don't inquire to find out what's going on with them you'll never know....sad really and unacceptable. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
