Mountain View Montessori Charter is another strong option, at 68% in ELA and 55% in both math and science; Gus Franklin Junior also exceeds state results in all three subjects, with 61%, 42%, and 41%. At the lower end, Goodwill High has the lowest ELA and math results, at 4% and 0%, while Goodwill Independent Study has the lowest reported science result, at 2%.
Average results improved only modestly from 2024–25 to 2025–26: ELA rose by less than 1 point, while math and science each rose about 1 point. State results also increased—by less than 1 point in ELA, 1 in math, and 3 in science—so the ELA and science gaps widened slightly, while the math gap was nearly unchanged. Individual schools moved in different directions: Endeavour School of Exploration fell 9 points in ELA and math and 14 in science, while Gus Franklin Junior gained 8 points in ELA. SchoolDigger’s statewide percentile rose 12 points for Irwin Academy of Performing Arts, but fell 7 for Sixth Street Prep, which remains a top scorer. As context, the 2024–25 school-reported free/reduced lunch eligible measure ranged from 54% at Endeavour to 96% at Del Rey Elementary; student–teacher ratios ranged from 9.5 at Goodwill High to 30.2 at Goodwill Independent Study. Because school grade spans differ, All Grades results are not fully grade-matched comparisons.
