Sierra Vista Elementary is a K–6 school in Perris, serving 867 students in Val Verde Unified. Its 2025–26 results show a clear contrast: English language arts (ELA) is a strength, while math is below state proficiency and science is the largest persistent concern. Science proficiency was 17%, compared with 36% statewide, and the gap with the state has barely changed in recent years.

ELA is the school’s strongest subject relative to nearby schools, its district and the state: 51% of students were proficient, versus 49% statewide and 42% in the district, making Sierra Vista second among 10 nearby schools, behind Triple Crown Elementary. This school is incompetent. Now that Mr. Warren left, it is not the same. The new principal does not know how to effectively do her job. She makes excuses for disobedient kids that bully others and unprofessional staff members. She makes contradictory statements as well. No wonder this district has been investigated by the state for this incompetence. It clearly reflects in her leadership. Close Quote
