Nuview Union

Nuview Union has four schools: two elementary schools serving kindergarten through grade 6, one middle school and one high school. In 2025–2026, results varied by school, with the high school leading in English language arts (ELA) and science and an elementary school leading in math. The schools’ average math proficiency was 27%, compared with 38% statewide, and every school fell below the state rate—making math the clearest shared challenge.

Nuview Bridge Early College High stands out in ELA, with 66% proficiency, 17 points above the state and 27 points above the other schools’ average; its science rate was 36%, 8 points above the other schools’ average. It also reports a 99% graduation rate, compared with 88% statewide. Nuview Elementary leads in math at 31%. At the other end, Valley View Elementary has the lowest all-grades rate in each subject: 34% in ELA, 24% in math and 22% in science, respectively 15, 14 and 14 points below state rates. Mountain Shadows Middle sits between schools in ELA, but remains below the state in math and science.

Science improved most over the two years reported: the schools’ average rose 7 points, led by a 15-point gain at Nuview Elementary; its grade 5 science rate also exceeded Valley View’s by 13 points. ELA moved in the opposite direction overall, with the schools’ average declining 1 point as the state rate rose. SchoolDigger ranks Nuview Bridge at the 65th percentile, Nuview Elementary at the 40th, Mountain Shadows at the 45th and Valley View at the 26th. The elementary schools have similar 2024–2025 free/reduced lunch eligible shares—88.2% at Nuview Elementary and 87.7% at Valley View—yet Nuview Elementary leads Valley View in all-grades ELA, math and science. Their student-teacher ratios are 25.5 and 24.0, respectively; these figures provide context, not an explanation for their results.
