Tomas Rivera Middle serves 1,014 students in grades 6–8 in Perris, California, within the Val Verde Unified community. Its most important challenge is low achievement across all three tested subjects: in 2025–26, proficiency was 27% in English language arts (ELA), 11% in math, and 16% in science, below both district and state results in every subject.
