Summary

Millennial Technical Middle serves 378 students in grades 6–8 in San Diego, California. Its 2025–2026 proficiency rates were below both state and district results in English language arts (ELA), math and science, while its student-teacher ratio was lower than those of nearby schools. Most concerning, chronic absenteeism was higher than at every nearby school: about 39% of students were chronically absent, compared with 18% statewide and 17% in San Diego Unified.

Science is the clearest weakness compared with nearby schools, the district and the state. About 14% of Millennial students were proficient in science, versus 36% statewide and 42% districtwide; its rate was below every nearby school with current scores. Math is relatively stronger: about 19% were proficient, just 3 percentage points below the nearby-school average, though still 19 points below the state and 27 below the district. Science rose 3 points, but the state gained 6, so the science gap widened by 2 points.
