Summary

Summerwind Elementary serves 569 students in kindergarten through grade 5 in Palmdale, in the Palmdale Elementary district. In 2025–2026, 19% of students were proficient in English language arts (ELA), 13% in math and 13% in science. Each result was below both district and state rates: 33%, 21% and 20% for the district, and 49%, 38% and 36% statewide. The main concern is that achievement is low across all three subjects, not just one.

Among nearby K–5 schools with scores, science is Summerwind’s closest result to local peers, but it is still behind.
