Granite Hills High is a grades 9–12 school in El Cajon, serving 2,331 students in the Grossmont Union High district. Its latest results show a mixed academic picture: English language arts (ELA) is near the state average, while math and science are lower. The clearest concern is math: 24% of students met the standard, compared with 38% statewide.

ELA is the school’s strongest subject against both the state and district: 49% met the standard, about the same as California’s 49% and below the district’s 52%. Math was 24%, versus 28% in the district, and science was 24%, versus 32%.
