Mountain View Elementary

The five schools in the Mountain View Elementary area include four elementary schools serving kindergarten through grade 6 and one junior high serving grades 7–8. In 2025–26, the five-school averages were 53% in English language arts (ELA), 44% in math and 41% in science, compared with state averages of 49%, 38% and 36%. Those averages look stronger than the typical school in the group: without Park View Elementary, the other four schools averaged 47% in ELA, 37% in math and 35% in science—below the state in all three subjects. The most important takeaway is that results vary sharply, and Park View’s high scores lift the area-wide averages above the state.

Park View Elementary leads in all three subjects, scoring 77% in ELA, 72% in math and 66% in science—28, 34 and 30 percentage points above the state, respectively. At the other end, Creek View Elementary is lowest in all-grades results, at 40% in ELA, 30% in math and 26% in science. The gap between the two schools is 37 points in ELA, 42 in math and 40 in science. For its grades 7–8, Grace Yokley Junior High has ELA results above the state in both tested grades, as well as above-state eighth-grade math and science.

Average results improved from 2024–25 to 2025–26: by 1 point in ELA, 3 in math and 6 in science, gains that outpaced state changes. Four of the five schools improved in each subject, but Creek View Elementary fell 7 points in ELA and 6 in math, while Ranch View Elementary declined 1 point in science. SchoolDigger’s statewide ranking rose from the 80th to the 93rd percentile for Park View and from the 40th to the 44th for Mountain View Elementary; Creek View fell from the 52nd to the 40th. Staffing and income measures do not provide a simple explanation for score differences: Park View has the highest student–teacher ratio (24.2) and lowest reported spending, while Grace Yokley Junior High has the lowest ratio (21.2). All schools report free/reduced lunch eligible figures for 2024–25, ranging from 34% at Park View to 67% at Mountain View. All-grades results combine different grade spans, so grade-specific comparisons are more like-for-like.
