Summary:
The 30 schools in Fairfield-Suisun Unified include 21 elementary, four middle and five high schools; 29 have reported test results. Across those schools, the unweighted average was 38% in English language arts, 26% in math and 24% in science, compared with state rates of 49%, 38% and 36%. Because schools serve different grade spans, these broad comparisons are not perfectly like-for-like. The most important finding is that average results fell below state rates in all three subjects, while school results varied widely.
Public Safety Academy led the reported results in every subject, with 78% in ELA, 64% in math and 54% in science—about 29, 26 and 18 percentage points above state rates. Among conventional middle schools, Green Valley Middle was strongest, at 70% ELA, 52% math and 45% science. At the low end, Sem Yeto Continuation High had the lowest ELA result, 13%; E. Ruth Sheldon Academy of Innovative Learning had the lowest math result, 4%; and Anna Kyle Elementary had the lowest science result, 3%. The top-to-bottom gaps were 65 percentage points in ELA, 60 in math and 51 in science.
Recent changes were mixed, but more schools declined than improved: among 28 schools with comparable results, 18 fell in ELA, 16 in math and 17 in science. Average school results changed by about −1 percentage point in ELA and math and were nearly flat in science; meanwhile, state rates rose, widening the average school-to-state gap by about 1, 2 and 4 points, respectively. SchoolDigger ranked Public Safety Academy in the statewide 95th percentile in 2025–2026, while Virtual Academy rose from the 55th to the 71st percentile from 2023–2024. Context figures do not form a simple performance pattern: similarly sized Crystal Middle and Green Valley had very different results, and their free/reduced lunch eligible shares were 78% and 32%, respectively, in 2024–2025. Sem Yeto also combined 95% graduation with 77% chronic absenteeism, showing why families may want to consider multiple outcomes.
