Summary

Cordelia Hills Elementary is a public elementary school in Fairfield, California, serving 756 students from kindergarten to 5th grade. The school is part of the Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District, which is ranked 951 out of 1,565 school districts in the state.

Cordelia Hills Elementary consistently outperforms the district and state averages in standardized test scores, particularly in 5th grade where 70.73% of students were proficient or better in English Language Arts/Literacy, and 56.1% were proficient or better in Mathematics. The school's performance is strong for Hispanic and African American students, as well as students with special needs and low socioeconomic status, suggesting a focus on equity and inclusion. However, the school's performance for Asian and White students is relatively weaker, indicating a need to address potential achievement gaps.

While Cordelia Hills Elementary generally outperforms nearby schools in the Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District, its performance is not as strong as some of the higher-performing schools in the Benicia Unified School District, such as Matthew Turner Elementary and Joe Henderson Elementary. Additionally, the school has experienced fluctuations in chronic absenteeism rates, which may be impacting its overall academic performance and is an area that could be addressed to improve student outcomes.
