As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote We moved here from several states away from a fine school in a strong public school system. Given that, it’s so great to watch our 7th grader thrive in this school since we arrived. Being unfamiliar with how open enrollment states work, we went ahead and decided to try the public school nearby first, in part, because of the STEM focus knowing that if it didn’t fit well we could regroup. Our child’s interests match this curriculum well. This was an excellent decision. Making friends from the first day, approachable engaged teachers, and a smaller school atmosphere has meant strong clue in to our child and we couldn’t be happier or feel any luckier for this choice. Moving mid-junior high can be tough, so we entered with clear awareness it might be a challenging shift. However, it has been way smoother than expected. I’m so glad we made this choice! I love seeing a happy, optimistic junior high student walk through the door every day! Close Quote

Open Quote My children have attended this school for 6 years and as a parent I found this school to be A #1!! The teaching staff is extraordinary and the Administration is top notch. All questions and challenges have been answered or resolved in short order but these have been few and far between. All staff is attentive to students and to parents alike. Centerra is a marvelous school. I am proud my children are Mustangs! Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
