Summary:

ZIP code 85338 has 14 listed schools—12 elementary schools and two high schools—with the newest ELA and math results from 2025–26 and science results from 2024–25. The elementary schools average 42% in all-grades ELA and 39% in math, compared with state averages of 41% and 33%; the two high schools average 34% in 11th-grade ELA and 24% in math, below state averages of 38% and 31%. Their average science result is 14%, compared with 19% statewide. The most important takeaway is that elementary results are slightly above state averages overall, while the high-school results are below them.

Westar Elementary School is the clearest elementary standout, with 62% ELA and 56% math—the highest reported all-grades results, and 21 and 23 percentage points above the state. Estrella Mountain Elementary School and Legacy Traditional School - Goodyear also post strong results: 53% ELA and 42% math at Estrella Mountain, and 54% and 51% at Legacy. At the lower end, Incito Schools has 18% ELA, 23 points below the state; Eliseo C. Felix School has 22% ELA and 29% math, 19 and 4 points below state averages. Desert Thunder has the lowest reported elementary math result, at 28%. In high school, Estrella Foothills High School leads Desert Edge High School in 11th-grade ELA and math: 37% and 31%, versus 30% and 17%.

SchoolDigger’s statewide percentile histories show modest improvement, but not for every school: among 12 schools with comparable entries, the average change is up 3 percentile points, with seven rising and five falling. Wildflower Accelerated Academy fell 13 points, while Las Brisas Academy and Legacy each rose 13; Somerset Academy Skyway Campus rose 51 points between 2020–21 and 2025–26. These are changes in SchoolDigger’s relative rankings, not test proficiency trends. School size and student–teacher ratios do not neatly predict results: Westar has 815 students and a 19.6 ratio, while Somerset has 143 students and an 11.9 ratio, with 41% ELA but 29% math; Copper Trails has a 28.7 ratio yet scores above the state in both subjects, at 45% ELA and 34% math.
