Summary

Oxford Academy is a standout 7-12 public high school serving 1,315 students in Cypress, California, within the Anaheim Union High school district, and it is consistently ranked among the absolute top schools in the state, currently 5th out of over 2,100 California high schools.

The school's academic results are extraordinary, with over 94% of students proficient in math and nearly 99% in English, dramatically outperforming both its own district and nearby schools like Cypress High. It achieves this elite status while serving a student body where nearly half qualify for free or reduced-price lunch, demonstrating that high achievement is possible across all economic backgrounds. Furthermore, Oxford operates very efficiently, spending less per student than many neighboring schools, such as Cambridge Virtual Academy, while delivering superior outcomes.

Oxford Academy's success is remarkably consistent, maintaining a top-10 statewide ranking for over a decade, a stability not seen at other high-performing local schools like Cerritos High. It also excels in keeping students engaged, with a chronic absenteeism rate of just 3%, far below the district and state averages. This creates a striking "Oxford Effect" within its mid-performing district, proving that an exceptional school can thrive and serve as a model of cost-effective excellence for all students.

Open Quote Oxford is probably one of the best junior/highschool out there. Especially since it's a public. It challenges student academically and has a safe environment. All the students get along and strive to be their best. If your child has a gift I would definitely have them try out for Oxford. Let's go Patriots!!! Close Quote
