Summary

Nadaburg Elementary School is a public elementary school serving grades PK-8 in Wittmann, Arizona, with 472 students enrolled. The school is part of the Nadaburg Unified School District, which is ranked 210 out of 289 districts in the state and has a 1-star rating from SchoolDigger.

Despite higher per-student spending and a relatively low student-teacher ratio, Nadaburg Elementary consistently underperforms academically compared to the state and its own district averages on standardized tests. For example, in 2024-2025, only 26% of 5th graders were proficient in Science, compared to 28% for the district and 34% statewide. The school also struggles to serve certain student subgroups effectively, with its rankings for female, Hispanic, and special education students all in the bottom 25% of Arizona elementary schools. Additionally, Nadaburg Elementary has had high dropout rates in recent years, ranging from 2.4% to 6.1%, which are significantly above state averages.

In contrast, the nearby Canyon Ridge School and Lake Pleasant Elementary, which are part of the Dysart Unified and Peoria Unified districts, respectively, generally outperform Nadaburg Elementary across academic metrics, student group performance, and school rankings. This suggests that high-performing schools are possible in the region, and Nadaburg Elementary should closely examine its instructional practices, support systems, and resource allocation to identify areas for improvement and better serve its diverse student population.

Open Quote This is a fabulous school! The kids are kind, the teacher are amazing..I feel that my students are in a safe environment, they are learning real world skills with a nurturing environment. I Would recommend this school to anyone moving In the area. I have not seen any of the negative comments people have written about in the past. And I am very picky. I sent my kids to a private school for 6 years and paid a lot of money. This school is just as good if not better in many aspects. Close Quote
