Valley View currently sits at about the 51st percentile of Wisconsin elementary schools with 3 stars, down from 62nd the year before.

Attendance is the school's standout strength: chronic absenteeism was 5.6% in 2024–25, less than one-third of the state rate (17.3%) and lower than every nearby school, including Pioneer Elementary (7.2%), Chappell Elementary (11.0%) and MacArthur Elementary (13.9%). Academically, reading (ELA) is above the state average at every grade and has been for three years, and fourth-grade social studies is the strongest subject by far, roughly 10 points above the state. Compared with the surrounding Green Bay Area schools, Valley View outperforms nearly all of them while spending less per pupil ($14,575) than most.

The soft spots are math and science. Math in grades 3 and 4 fell below the state average in 2025–26, fourth grade scored below its own district in all four tested subjects, and science dropped about 9 points in a single year, from comfortably above the state to slightly below it. Seven of eight reported student groups lost ground, and the gap between boys (58th percentile) and girls (43rd) widened. One year is one year, but the dip is worth watching — Pioneer Elementary, the district's other elementary, continues to post higher scores.
