Osceola, Wisconsin is home to four public schools serving pre-kindergarten through 12th grade within the Osceola School District: Osceola High (grades 9–12, 498 students), Osceola Middle (grades 5–8, 398 students), Osceola Intermediate (grades 1–4, 275 students), and Osceola Elementary (PK–K, 250 students) — 1,421 students in all. The district ranks 114th of 432 in Wisconsin, in the 74th percentile with a 4-star rating.
The high school and middle school are the strongest performers. Osceola High reported a 99.2% graduation rate and 0.0% dropout rate, against 92.0% and 1.1% statewide, and beat state averages in all four tested subjects in 2025–2026. It does, however, have the city’s highest chronic absenteeism at 16.6% — still below the state’s 17.3% — plus the highest per-student spending at $18,934 and the highest student-teacher ratio at 15.4. Osceola Middle posted the highest average proficiency among tested schools, about 64.8% versus roughly 55.0% statewide, while spending the least per student at $13,297 and keeping absenteeism at 10.3%. Its rank has softened, though, from 5 stars and the 91st percentile in 2023–2024 to 4 stars and the 74th percentile in 2025–2026.
Osceola Intermediate carries a 3-star rating in the 59th percentile. Its 4th-grade English language arts, social studies, and science results are above state averages, but 3rd-grade math fell to 48.5% in 2025–2026 — below the state’s 54.8% and down from 66.2%. Osceola Elementary, serving PK–K, has no test scores or rank, yet has the lowest chronic absenteeism (9.3%) and lowest student-teacher ratio (11.2), along with the highest free/reduced lunch rate (34.8%). Free/reduced lunch is generally higher in the younger grades: 21.29% at the high school and 23.62% at the middle school, versus 34.55% and 34.8% at the two elementary schools.
