George C. Marshall Elementary is a relatively small PK–5 school in Vancouver, Washington, serving 313 students in the Vancouver School District, an urban area with several nearby elementary schools and substantial differences in academic results and student needs. Marshall has a 14.9:1 student-teacher ratio, one of the more favorable ratios among nearby schools, and 67.09% of students qualified for free or reduced-price lunch in 2024–25. The clearest nearby standout is Vancouver Innovation Technology and Arts Elementary, which posted 59.86% ELA, 53.52% math, and 68.75% science proficiency. Marshall’s relatively high spending and favorable staffing ratio are resources to build on, but the most important improvement priorities remain third-grade ELA, sustained math growth, and stronger outcomes for economically disadvantaged students.
