Summary

Lynnwood High School is a public high school serving grades 9-12 to approximately 1,335 students in Bothell, WA, as part of the Edmonds School District, and it currently earns a 3-star rating with notable strengths in English and graduation rates.

The school demonstrates a clear academic profile: students excel in English Language Arts, outperforming both district and state averages, but face significant challenges in math proficiency, which is an area for growth. Its 87.3% graduation rate is a strong and improving point, though the dropout rate remains higher than some top-performing neighbors like North Creek High School. Within its own Edmonds School District, Lynnwood performs solidly, sitting between peers like Mountlake Terrace High School and Meadowdale High School.

Comparisons with schools in the neighboring Northshore School District, such as the highly-rated North Creek High School and Innovation Lab High School, reveal a substantial performance gap, particularly in math. The school's overall ranking has declined from a recent peak, even as graduation rates have climbed. Performance varies among different student groups, with the school showing historical strength in supporting English Language Learners but facing current challenges in achieving equitable outcomes for all subgroups.

Open Quote The teachers are very helpful and the students are very hospitable.
I knew this school will be the best fit for my daughter. You can see the diversity of the school and also you can feel the school spirit. The school building is very unique, i've never seen a school like lynnwood high school before. When I 1st brought my daughter to enroll in the school, she loved it! she said it looks like a mall! Currently, its my daughters 3rd year in LHS and she's very committed to it. I can see how she's enjoying her high school life.
