Lynnwood High School is a public grades 9–12 school serving 1,335 students in the Bothell area, although it belongs to the Edmonds School District. The school has a diverse and economically mixed enrollment, with 52.13% of students qualifying for free or reduced-price lunch. Lynnwood’s latest statewide standing is encouraging: it ranks 120th of 396 Washington high schools, placing it at the 70th percentile and earning four stars. That is a substantial improvement from 185th of 438 schools and the 58th percentile in 2024–2025. Academically, English Language Arts is the clearest strength. In 2025–2026, 68.88% of students were proficient, compared with 58.44% in the Edmonds School District and 52.81% statewide. Lynnwood’s result is below North Creek High School, Henry M. Jackson High School, Mountlake Terrace High School, and Meadowdale High School, but it is comfortably above Mariner High School.

Math and science are the main areas to watch. Math proficiency rebounded to 42.34% after two years in the low 30s, but it remains below the district’s 47.77% and far behind North Creek’s 70.94%. Science proficiency fell to 45.95%, below both district and state results. At the same time, graduation outcomes are improving: Lynnwood’s 2024–2025 graduation rate was 87.3%, above the district’s 85.9% and the state’s 82.6%, while its dropout rate declined to 6.1%. Overall, Lynnwood appears to be a solid, improving school with strong literacy results and better student persistence, but families should look for continued progress in math, science, and outcomes for special education students.

The teachers are very helpful and the students are very hospitable.
I knew this school will be the best fit for my daughter. You can see the diversity of the school and also you can feel the school spirit. The school building is very unique, i've never seen a school like lynnwood high school before. When I 1st brought my daughter to enroll in the school, she loved it! she said it looks like a mall! Currently, its my daughters 3rd year in LHS and she's very committed to it. I can see how she's enjoying her high school life. I've been hearing alot of good feedbacks about the teachers from my daughter she said all the teachers are helpful and friendly. Im a proud Mom of a Royal! hands down to Lynnwood High School!
