Brier Terrace Middle School is a public school in Brier, Washington, serving 649 students in grades 7–8. Located in the Edmonds area, it is part of the Edmonds School District, which ranks about the 72nd percentile statewide. The school itself ranks 76th out of 514 Washington middle schools, placing it near the 85th percentile and earning a four-star rating. It is the highest-ranked of the nearby Edmonds middle schools included in the comparison, ahead of Meadowdale Middle School, College Place Middle School, and Alderwood Middle School.

Academic results are a major strength. In 2025–26, 65.47% of students met standards in ELA, 55.67% in math, and 63.53% in science—higher than both district and Washington averages in every subject. Brier Terrace led the nearby Edmonds schools across all three subjects, with its largest advantage in math: it was 8.76 percentage points above Meadowdale, 18.40 above College Place, and 20.43 above Alderwood. The school also compares well with schools in higher-ranked districts. Its results exceeded those of Kellogg Middle School in all three subjects and were generally competitive with Finn Hill Middle School, Kenmore Middle School, and Albert Einstein Middle School. Math remains strong but deserves attention because eighth-grade performance was 6.76 points below seventh-grade performance, and the overall rate declined from the prior year’s peak. The Hispanic subgroup also declined in statewide comparative ranking.
