Summary

Beverly Elementary is a K-6 public school serving 413 students in Lynnwood, Washington, within the Edmonds School District, a district rated in the 70th percentile statewide.

Academically, the school faces significant challenges, with student proficiency in English, Math, and Science consistently below both district and state averages; it is currently ranked in the 28th percentile of Washington elementary schools with a 1-star rating. This represents a notable decline over the past few years. Performance is particularly concerning for students from low-income families and varies widely by grade, with upper-grade math being a pronounced weakness. Despite these outcomes, the school spends $21,310 per student, which is higher than most nearby schools like Spruce Elementary and Lynnwood Elementary.

When compared to local schools with similar student demographics, Beverly underperforms. For instance, Meadowdale Elementary and Oak Heights Elementary have similar rates of economic need but achieve higher test scores. Furthermore, schools in neighboring districts, such as Endeavour Elementary in the Mukilteo School District, significantly outperform Beverly, indicating room for improvement in translating resources into student success.

Open Quote I went to this school, and it wasn't that great. Although the teachers are very nice, the school is very low-budget. It couldn't even afford paper. Yeah. That's right. PAPER. To learn who your teacher is, you have to go to the school on one day in the SUMMER, when you could be on vacation, to actually figure out who your teacher was, because the office is too cheap and lazy to actually send you a letter telling who your next teacher was. The food is awful, they use the gym as the cafeteria and auditorium (in which students must sit uncomfortably on the ground because of their laziness to actually set up some chairs). Also, although most teachers are fantastic, others are unsuitable for their job. In general, this school is... well... awful. Close Quote
