Meadowdale Elementary is a K–6 school in Lynnwood with approximately 430 students, serving a relatively diverse community in the Edmonds School District near several other elementary schools. The district ranks in the 72nd percentile statewide, while Meadowdale ranks in the 53rd percentile among Washington elementary schools. Its 14:1 student-teacher ratio is one of the lowest among nearby traditional schools, providing a favorable staffing context for families to consider.

Academically, Meadowdale is a solid middle-performing school statewide and one of the stronger traditional schools in its immediate Edmonds-area comparison group. In 2025–26, 47.08% of students were proficient in English language arts, 46.69% in math, and 49.12% in science. Math was a particular relative strength, exceeding the statewide rate of 43.11%. Meadowdale outperformed Lynnwood Elementary, Spruce Elementary, Beverly Elementary, Cedar Valley Elementary, and College Place Elementary in all three subjects. Teacher quality is hit and miss. You must get involved as a parent. There are great teachers here if your child works hard and cares to learn. Class size is a joke and exceeds 30 plus kids. Too many kids with special needs spread through out all grades and the school is not able to deal with them. I'm not talking about kids with learning disabilities, as much as socially awkward kids without any parental support or involvement. Again talk to parents who have kids there. There are a handful of terrific teachers who care and have real drive. Just make sure your child gets in one of those classes or beware. Close Quote
