Bonneville High

Bonneville High is a public school serving grades 10–12 in Ogden, Utah, with 1,373 students. Located in the southern part of the Ogden area, it is about three miles from Roy High and Ogden High. The school is part of Weber District and has recently shown meaningful improvement, although its overall results remain below typical Utah high school performance.

For 2025–2026, Bonneville ranked 115th out of 139 Utah high schools, in the 17th percentile. That is an improvement from 126th place and the 9th percentile in 2023–2024. Academic results have risen for three straight years: proficiency reached 41.1% in English language arts, 16.8% in mathematics, and 29.3% in science. Math is the clearest academic concern, with results below both the district and state. Graduation was 86.3%, compared with 88.5% in the district and 89.8% statewide. The dropout rate was 10.0%, and chronic absenteeism affected 26.8% of students, making attendance and keeping students on track important priorities.

Compared with the most similar nearby traditional school, Roy High, Bonneville had slightly stronger 2025–2026 results in all three tested subjects, along with higher graduation and lower dropout and chronic-absence rates. However, smaller specialized schools post stronger outcomes: Weber Innovation High School ranked 49th statewide and reported a 92.2% graduation rate and 16.6% chronic absenteeism. These schools serve different populations and have different structures, so they are not direct apples-to-apples comparisons. Overall, Bonneville’s upward academic trend is encouraging, but stronger math support, attendance efforts, and graduation interventions remain important.
