Summary

Sky View High is a public school serving about 1,600 students in grades 8–12 in Smithfield, a Cache Valley community, and is part of Cache District, which ranks 16th among Utah’s 92 districts. The school remains above average statewide, ranking 40th of 139 Utah high schools in 2025–2026, although that is down from 21st the previous year.

Academically, English language arts is Sky View’s clearest strength. In 2025–2026, 58.6% of 10th graders and 51.2% of 9th graders were proficient in ELA, both above state averages. Sky View’s 10th-grade ELA result was also better than those at nearby Green Canyon High School, Mountain Crest High, and Ridgeline High School. Mathematics is the main concern: only 29.2% of 10th graders were proficient, compared with 44.9% the prior year and 45.7% at Green Canyon. Ninth-grade math was stronger at 50.3%. Science was above the state average in 10th grade but trailed Green Canyon in both tested grades.
