The decline was broad, especially in grades 7 and 8 math and science, suggesting that families may want to ask about seventh-grade transition supports, intervention programs, and plans to rebuild academic performance.

Frontier also stands out for high chronic absenteeism: 29.8% in 2024–25, compared with 20.8% in the Alpine District and 23.8% statewide. Its 27:1 student–teacher ratio and large enrollment may make individualized support more difficult. Nearby Alpine schools performed substantially better: Lehi Junior High ranked in the 82nd percentile, while Viewpoint Middle, another large Eagle Mountain school, ranked in the 61st percentile. Fort Herriman Middle and Hidden Valley Middle also outperformed Frontier despite being in the lower-ranked Jordan District. These comparisons point to a school-level challenge involving attendance, instruction, and intervention that merits close attention.
