Westlake High is a large public high school in Saratoga Springs, Utah, serving grades 10–12 with 3,052 students in the Alpine District. The school ranks 57th among Utah’s 139 high schools, placing it at the 59th percentile, and has a three-star rating. Its size and traditional high-school structure make comparisons with nearby Lone Peak High, American Fork High, Cedar Valley High, Skyridge High School, and Lehi High more useful than comparisons with smaller or specialized schools.

The school’s strongest results are in graduation and student completion. Westlake’s 2024–2025 graduation rate was 96.6%, well above the district’s 92.7% and Utah’s 89.8%; only Lone Peak was slightly higher at 97.0%. Its 2.2% dropout rate was also lower than every other large nearby comparison school. Academically, results are mixed but generally competitive. In 2025–2026, 10th-grade proficiency was 51.9% in English Language Arts, 33.1% in mathematics, and 38.7% in science. Mathematics was a relative strength, exceeding American Fork, Cedar Valley, and Lehi, while English Language Arts was stronger than Cedar Valley and Lehi. However, Lone Peak and Skyridge outperformed Westlake in all three subjects, and Westlake’s English Language Arts result fell from 60.3% the previous year.

Families should also watch attendance and consistency. Chronic absenteeism was 23.2% in 2024–2025—close to Utah’s 23.8%, but much higher than Lone Peak’s 10.1% and American Fork’s 9.6%. Westlake has shown notable effectiveness for Hispanic students and historically strong results for English Learners, while more recent results for low-income and special education students have been closer to the statewide middle. Overall, Westlake combines excellent graduation outcomes with middle-of-the-pack academic performance.
