Lone Peak High is a large public school in Highland, Utah, serving grades 10–12 and enrolling 2,484 students in the Alpine District. The school ranks among Utah’s strongest large comprehensive high schools: it placed 19th of 139 statewide in 2025–2026, at the 86th percentile, and earned a four-star rating. Its latest ranking was a notable rebound from 38th the previous year.

Academically, Lone Peak performed above both district and state averages in all three reported 10th-grade subjects. Proficiency was 58.6% in English Language Arts, 36.9% in mathematics, and 56.2% in science. Science is the school’s clearest strength: its result was 15.4 percentage points above the district and higher than results at nearby large schools, including Skyridge High School at 50.6% and Pleasant Grove High at 44.5%. Results improved substantially in every subject from the prior year, although mathematics remains the main opportunity for further growth. Lone Peak also showed strong subgroup performance, including a 92nd-percentile statewide ranking for students from low-income backgrounds. A potential tradeoff is its relatively high 27.5 student-teacher ratio. Overall, the school combines strong academics with unusually favorable attendance and completion results for a campus of its size.
