Summary:

Millard District’s four elementary schools serve students from preschool through sixth grade, with a combined enrollment of 1,243 students in a rural Utah district ranked in the 71st percentile statewide. The schools differ substantially in size and grade levels: Fillmore School serves PK–4, Delta North School serves grades 2–4, Delta South School serves PK–1, and Garrison School serves K–6 but enrolls only 18 students. The district overall is rated four stars.

Fillmore School is the strongest academic performer among the schools with comparable assessment data. It leads Delta North School in four of five reported 2025–2026 measures, including grade 4 ELA, mathematics, and science. Fillmore’s average proficiency across the five measures is about 51.7%, compared with 48.2% at Delta North. Its grade 4 science result, 64.9%, is especially strong. However, Fillmore’s ranking has declined from the 81st to the 57th percentile over three years, and chronic absenteeism is relatively high at 22.0%. Delta North has encouraging gains in grade 3 mathematics and grade 4 science, but its grade 4 ELA score of 44.1% is a clear area for improvement. Its overall ranking has also declined, reaching the 48th percentile.

Attendance is a concern across the larger schools: chronic absenteeism is 22.0% at Fillmore, 18.9% at Delta North, and 23.0% at Delta South School, compared with 13.7% across Millard District. Delta South’s missing test scores are expected because it serves only PK–1, making early literacy, readiness, and attendance especially relevant measures for families. Garrison School offers a very small-school setting, but its limited reported data make comparisons difficult. Families comparing schools should weigh grade availability, attendance, and the stronger academic results at Fillmore alongside Delta North’s subject-specific improvements.
