Middle Schools in Millard District

Millard District has two middle schools in Millard County, Utah—Delta Middle and Fillmore Middle—and both serve grades 5–8. The district ranks 27th of 92 Utah districts, placing it at the 71st percentile with a four-star rating. Delta enrolls 613 students, while Fillmore enrolls 347, and both schools have similar student-teacher ratios of about 20 students per teacher.

Fillmore Middle is the stronger academic school overall. Its average proficiency is 53.9% in English language arts, 52.9% in mathematics, and 67.9% in science, compared with 45.1%, 47.4%, and 49.5% at Delta Middle. Delta’s main improvement priorities are seventh- and eighth-grade science, sixth-grade mathematics, and lower-performing ELA grades. Fillmore’s key priority is reducing absenteeism while sustaining its strong academic results, particularly in science. Families comparing the schools should weigh Fillmore’s stronger and more consistent achievement against Delta’s substantially better attendance record.
