Middle Schools in Canyons District

Canyons District has eight middle schools serving grades 6–8, with about 7,324 students across suburban communities in and around Draper, Sandy, Midvale, and nearby areas. Academic results vary considerably, although district middle schools generally perform above Utah averages in English Language Arts, mathematics, and science. Science is the strongest subject overall, while mathematics—especially sixth-grade math—is the most common area of weakness.

Butler Middle, Albion Middle, and Draper Park Middle are the district’s strongest current academic performers, each averaging about 63%–64% proficiency across reported subjects and grades.
