Open Quote Great school that has been a well kept secret. Within top 6% of all Texas schools. The neighborhood is rediscovering Dover and our children have been very well served there. The Blue Ribbon status will put Dover on the map. If Dover was a stock, it would be in a strong "Buy" position. Close Quote

Open Quote Dover is an excellent elementary school that has overcome many challenges during the past few years. We earned the State's highest rating of "Exemplary" for the 2008-2009 school year and we were just nominated by the Texas Education Agency as a U.S Department of Education Blue Ribbon School. About Student-Teacher Ratio
Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
