Middleton Elementary School is a PK–6 school in Middleton, Tennessee, serving 349 students as part of Hardeman County Schools. That marks a sharp fall from a decade ago, when Middleton ranked in the 70th percentile and earned four stars. It has spent most recent years in the bottom third of the state, and a brief rebound in 2024-2025 appears to have faded, with the latest data showing another steep drop.

However, the school spends more than most comparable peers — $14,929 per student — without getting stronger results. Hornsby Elementary School spends about $1,000 less per student and outperforms Middleton in every subject.
