That said, the school spends more per student ($13,914) and has a smaller class size ratio (11.6:1) than higher-performing neighbors like Hillcrest High and Fountain Inn High, yet those schools achieve proficiency rates 20-30 points higher. Even Clinton High in the neighboring Laurens 56 district outperforms this school despite serving a similar demographic. The path forward will likely involve replicating the success seen with disabled students across other groups and continuing to reduce absenteeism.
