Open Quote A poor little 13 year old attending Riverside Middle School was recently suspended (and her school record permanently blemished) because she decided to color her hair red with the full permission of her parents. The school abruptly suspended her, stating that red was a "non-human" hair color and therefore in violation of the dress code. Well, not only are there plenty of redheaded HUMAN students at Riverside to refute that, but several other students with multicolored hairdos have never been suspended! To quote the district's response, "rules are rules" however I haven't the foggiest idea which rule book they're reading from. I'm very disappointed with the leadership of this school. Close Quote

About Student-Teacher Ratio
Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
