Hunt Meadows stands out for its exceptional student attendance and consistent academic growth. Only 9.9% of students were chronically absent in 2024-2025—dramatically lower than the district average of 17.5% and less than half the state average of 22.3%. This outperforms nearby schools like Wren Elementary (11.4%) and Spearman Elementary (12.7%). Its 5th graders shine particularly bright, with 83.1% proficiency in English Language Arts and 67.4% in math—both well above state and district averages. Even with nearly half of students qualifying for free or reduced lunch, the school ranks in the 80th percentile statewide for academic performance of economically disadvantaged students, showing a strong commitment to closing achievement gaps.

Hunt Meadows also delivers impressive efficiency, spending $11,220 per student while achieving better results than several nearby schools that spend more, including McKissick Academy of Science & Technology ($12,284) and Crosswell Elementary ($13,545). The contrast with neighboring Pickens 01 schools is striking—schools like West End Elementary and East End Elementary generally rank in the 200-400 range with 2-3 star ratings, while Hunt Meadows and its Anderson 01 peers consistently land in the top 100-200. One area for attention is 4th-grade math, where proficiency (61.5%) falls below the district average (68.1%), though the school showed remarkable recovery in math after a dip in 2024-2025. Overall, Hunt Meadows is a high-performing, efficient school with a clear upward trajectory.

Open Quote Hunt Meadows is a very clean well maintained school. All of the teachers and support staff are communicative and will gladly go above and beyond to make sure your child is getting the best education available. I never have to worry about the well being of my daughter while she is at school. The staff goes to extreme measures 'Everyday' to assure the safety of the children. I am thrilled that my daughter attends this school. Close Quote
