Burrillville Middle School in Harrisville, Rhode Island, serves 469 students in grades 6–8 in the Burrillville community. The school’s clearest bright spot is science, while its English language arts (ELA) and math proficiency results are notably lower than state and district results. The most important finding for families is that ELA and math are also well below averages at nearby schools serving the same grades.

Math is the largest shortfall: 15% of students were proficient, compared with 32% statewide, 25% in the district and a 31% average at nearby grades 6–8 schools.
