Woonsocket, Rhode Island, has three middle schools serving grades 6–8: Woonsocket Middle @ Villa Nova, Woonsocket Middle at Hamlet, and Founders Academy. In 2025–26, their equal-school average proficiency was 9.3% in English language arts (ELA), 7.4% in math, and 9.1% in science. Those averages were 23.8, 24.5, and 22.0 percentage points below the state results, respectively. The most important finding is that every school’s all-grade proficiency was substantially below the state level in all three subjects.
