Sisters High School

Sisters High School is a public high school in Sisters, Oregon, serving 419 students in grades 9–12 as the only high school in Sisters School District 6, a district ranked 8th of 141 in Oregon (94th percentile, 5 stars). The school ranks 58th of 271 in 2025–26 (79th percentile, 4 stars), a strong rebound from 2023–24, when it placed 212th of 268 (21st percentile, 1 star). Its history includes a high of 9th of 266 in 2018–19, so the record is notably volatile — something common for a school this small. At 419 students, Sisters is roughly one-third the size of Summit High School and about half the size of Redmond High School, Ridgeview High School, and Redmond Proficiency Academy. Its district also outranks Bend-LaPine Administrative School District 1 and Redmond School District 2J.

Science is the clearest strength: 60% of 11th graders met proficiency in 2025–26, compared with 33.8% statewide, 28% at Redmond High School, 27.5% at Summit High School, and 16.2% at Ridgeview High School. Math is strong too, at 36.4% versus the state's 22.9% and higher than every nearby school reporting 11th-grade math data. ELA sits at 49% — above the state's 46% and above Summit and Redmond High, though below Ridgeview's 54.7%. The 2024–25 graduation rate was 94.5%, well above Oregon's 83.0%.

Chronic absenteeism improved from 38.6% to 33.2%, lower than all four nearby schools but above the district average of 26.7%, meaning about one in three students is still chronically absent. The free/reduced lunch rate rose from 24.06% in 2022–23 to 51.55% in 2024–25, though that jump may partly reflect expanded meal eligibility. Sisters spends $19,354 per student, more than the nearby traditional public high schools, and has the lowest student-teacher ratio at 17.1. One caveat: Redmond Proficiency Academy's 11th-grade scores are suppressed by the state, so its high school results cannot be directly compared.
