North Central Junior/High School is a small, rural 7–12 building in Pioneer, Ohio (Williams County, northwest Ohio) that enrolls 208 students and is the only secondary school in the North Central Local district, which ranks 465th of 773 Ohio districts.

The building behaves like two schools in one. In grades 9–12, North Central Junior/High School beats the state average on nearly every End-of-Course exam — American Government 84.6% vs. 71.6% statewide, English II 71.9% vs. 62.7%, American History 81.8% vs. 73.2%. In grades 7–8, it trails in every subject: Grade 7 English language arts 43.8% vs. 62.7%, Grade 8 English language arts 33.3% vs. 58.3%, and Grade 8 mathematics 6.7% vs. 52.0%.
