Pettisville High School is a small, rural 7–12 building in Pettisville, Ohio, serving 208 students as the only secondary school in Pettisville Local — one of the smallest high schools in its area. It is also one of the strongest: the district ranked 90th of 773 Ohio districts (88th percentile, 4 stars) and the school ranked 120th of 795 high schools (85th percentile, 4 stars) in 2025-26, placing it in a tight cluster with Archbold High School and Tinora High School. What stands out is consistency: from 2015-16 through 2023-24, Pettisville never fell below the 90th percentile and earned five stars in seven of those nine years.

Parents will find several clear strengths. Graduation rates sit in the mid-90s or better — including 100% in 2024-25 and 97.4% in 2025-26 — higher than every larger neighboring high school, such as Archbold (92.6%), Napoleon Junior/Senior High School (93.8%), Wauseon High School (94.6%) and Hilltop High School (93.3%). Chronic absenteeism is just 7.0%, second-lowest in the group behind Archbold's 6.5%, and has improved sharply from 14.3% in 2022-23. Math is the weaker half: Geometry proficiency was 41.4% in 2025-26, below the state's 43.3% and down from 73.7% in 2022-23, even though middle-school math scores remain comfortably above state averages. The low-income subgroup's ranking has also slipped three years running — from the 86th percentile (2023-24) to 69th (2024-25) to the 45th percentile with 2 stars (2025-26) — and these students make up a majority of the school. Finally, the school's 2024-25 rank fell to the 73rd percentile, its lowest on record, and 2025-26 recovered only partly to the 85th. Because the school is small, these are best tracked as multi-year trends rather than single-year results.
