Archbold-Area Local is a small Ohio district of three schools serving K–12 students: Archbold Elementary School (K–4, 441 students), Archbold Middle School (5–8, 345 students), and Archbold High School (9–12, 326 students) — 1,112 students in all. The district ranks 103rd out of 773 Ohio districts, in the 87th percentile with 4 stars, and every reported school test score in 2024–25 and 2025–26 was above the Ohio state average.

Archbold Elementary School is the district's strongest performer, ranking in the 90th percentile with 5 stars in 2025–26 and holding in the top 10–12% of Ohio elementary schools across three years. It posts 90.5% proficiency in 4th grade math and 88.2% in 3rd grade ELA, and has the district's lowest chronic absenteeism (5.6%) and lowest student/teacher ratio (15.7). Archbold Middle School is notable for Algebra I End of Course proficiency of 100% in both years, far above the state's 61.6% in 2025–26, plus 90.4% in 5th grade ELA and 89.5% in 7th grade ELA. Archbold High School leads with Biology at 91.8%, American History at 90.7%, and English II at 84.7%, with a 92.6% graduation rate.

The middle school is the most uneven: 6th grade ELA at 59.3% and 8th grade science at 62.7% are the district's lowest results, though still above state, and its rank percentile fell from 89 to 78.
